The Kungwini Early Learning Centre believes in the importance of education.

As former President Nelson Mandela said, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world".

This belief inspired the Kungwini Welfare Organisation to initiate an Early Learning Centres in Zwavelpoort currently catering for 43 preschool children.

The Kungwini Early Learning Centre provides preschool education to children whose parents cannot afford conventional preschool fees. Each child is provided with the opportunity to attend school five days a week and receive two meals a day.

The teachers at the Kungwini Early Learning Centre are also women in the community who were previously unemployed.

The centre provides on-the-job training for these women while granting them the opportunity to obtain their NQF4 qualification at a teaching college.

Based upon the inspirational work done by The Kungwini Early Learning Centre, The AGL Group and the Slabbert Trust began assisting this visionary institution aiming to develop the 43 children enrolled at the school, focusing on early childhood development with the key pillars of focused education and nutrition, as a direct conduit towards the AGL Group's corporate social investment.
